Personal Sessions

Who is this for?

Examples of questions suitable for individual sessions:

  • You would just like to try out EFT tapping

  • Sleep issues due to a well defined cause

  • A mild or temporary form of anxiety/depression

  • Physical tension in the body

  • Getting clarity on specific decisions

  • Clarity about the outcomes you desire for therapy

  • Regular emotional 'maintenance' sessions

For other questions sets of 6 sessions are more suitable, because they allow you to gently work towards the underlaying issues. This benefits you to get sustained outcomes.

Examples are:

  • Self-worth themes

  • Problems around money

  • Returning problems in relation to other people

  • Emotional components of dealing with health issues

  • Anxiety and fear

  • Grief

  • Spiritual themes


​Each session lasts for about 1 to 1.5 hours:

  • We start off by talking about how you are doing right now around the theme you want to explore, and if required also in the past. I will ask you questions.

  • We discuss the outcomes you would like for the session. 

  • Depending on the nature of the problem and your preferences, we use EFT tapping, and might use Inner Child Matrix work.

  • By the end of the session I will ask you whether you are satisfied with the outcome for the session, and whether you would like to close on any remaining thing. 

  • We will discuss further steps and what you could do at home on your own.

  • I also encourage you to use EFT tapping on your own as that helps to establish the result deeper.

Which techniques will be used? 

I use:

  • Regular counselling techniques,

  • Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT Tapping),

  • Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP),

  • Inner Child Matrix Reimprinting and

  • Some hypnotherapy.


Most important is whether you feel comfortable with the technique and which technique seems to work well for you. I will inform you about the options and ​ask you about your experience and preferences regularly.

Animal fears & Phobias

Do you unwittingly stare at the corners of the ceiling in every room you enter? 

... Or do you know exactly which places to avoid during your evening walk to not encounter that dog? 

Do you avoid events you would have cared to attend for fear of dogs or lizards or another type of creature?

EFT tapping is a great way to overcome the fear itself and all the emotions around it like self criticism, hurt, and anger. You might face criticism or ridicule of you, and any sense of loss regarding missed out things due to the fear. 

EFT allows you to gently and safely explore the fears, their origins if required, and allows you to set a target that feels safe to you. There is no compulsion to get anywhere in particular, you are the guide. Using EFT tapping, the emotional intensity of the things that make up your fear will reduce, one part at a time.

Overcome your fear in 2 to 6 sessions

If you want to just get rid of a phobic response, often this can be done in 2 sessions. If you would like more, like be able to pet an animal you are scared of, this can take a bit longer. In between 2 and 6 sessions of 1-1.5 hours each most outcomes can be reached for most people.


  • You decide what you want the outcome to be.

  • We will first explore how you feel right now. 

  • Then we explore which aspects make up the fear for you.

  • We will work on what feels safest to you first.

  • We keep peeling the layers of the onion that makes up your fear carefully and gradually.

  • The context of your fear will be part of what we work on, ie how the fear impacts your life and wellbeing.

  • When you are ready, we can move on to some awareness about the animal of your fear, to practically help you live your life the way you want it.

You are fully in charge of the process, where to go, where to stop. And you set your own goals or desired outcomes, which you may adjust as per how you feel as we progress.
